Last month I sent a newsletter saying I’d be back and here I am. I know the last time I emailed it’d been over a year, so just as a quick refresher again, you’re getting this email because you signed up at one point or another for my newsletter. Probably through my superhero series, High School Sidekick.
Things may look a bit different because I recently switched newsletter providers. I’m sending my emails through Substack now.
Don’t worry, you’re not being charged anything. I wanted say that upfront because there are paid tiers on Substack that a lot of people know about, but there’s also the free tier.
Basically, nothing’s changed except the way the newsletter looks now.
The main reason I switched over is because I do plan on serializing my upcoming stories and thought this might be a great way to do that. I’ll dig into that another day.
For today, I just wanted to update you and the cool new digital shindig I’m calling home for now, and keep you up to date.
My next series (for which I’m still not sure of the permanent title) is coming along. It’s a mix of Batman and Green Arrow. Basically, an archer-type vigilante. But the twist is, he’s taking over for his father, who’s already established a rogues gallery.
Basically, what if Dick Grayson grew up under Bruce Wayne, remained a spoiled and rich ward, never knowing his father was Batman, and then BOOM.
Dick Grayson learns Bruce Wayne had this one-man’s war against the criminal underworld and now has to figure out what to do with it and come to grips with it. Only with cool bow and arrow gadgets.
That’s the gist.
Anyway, that’s it for today. I wish I had some cool new releases from other authors right now, but haven’t read anything super amazing as of year. But the year is young.
I did go see Spider-Man: No Way Home and really enjoyed that.
Let me know what you’re reading, either novels or comics, or if you saw Spider-Man and enjoyed it.
Until next time,
